W.T. (Wild Thing)
Drawing of the day for 2/11/11 is actually a portrait I did of a stuffed gorilla. The painting was for a greeting card I was giving my wife for Valentine’s Day. I had given her the gorilla the year before. His name is W.T.
Here is a photo of me doing the portrait. W.T. was a very good model. He hardly moved at all.

Three Goats
Drawing of the day for 2/10/11 is a painting I made for my wife’s grandmother when she welcomed me into her home for the first time. The three goats symbolize health and longevity.

Smiley Sauce
This is the drawing of the day for 2/6/11. Medium: Soy sauce on olive oil in ceramic bowl.
I can’t really take all the credit for this one, as god really did all the work. I just poured a tbs of soy sauce into 2 tbs of olive oil, and this smiley face magically formed. Don’t you see the resemblance to Jesus? This is going to be the best haddock ever. Haddock is what I marinated in the smiley face.

Jesus Birthday Party
Drawing of the Day for 1/4/11 is the 2010 X-mas card I made. Not sure why I hadn’t posted it until now
Who else would be at Christ’s big bash but other gods! Note: he didn’t invite ALL the other gods…

The Dodo
The drawing of the day for 2/3/11 is a t-shirt design that I started developing which features the story of the dodo bird becoming extinct. From what I read, dodos were doing just fine on their little island until humans brought monkeys to the island. The monkeys ate the dodo eggs. In this image I have the monkeys using superior intelligence to trick the dodo. One monkey distracts the bird by playing the cymbals while the other one steals the egg. At the time I was working on this, I decided the story was too complicated for a t-shirt design, but I think I’ll actually finish this when i find time.
