Talk About Squawk

Here is another painting I did back in college. I can’t really explain what is going on. Not sure why the lion riding a skateboard in front of flames is holding a Bible. I have no idea why I name this painting Talk About Squawk. Anyway, it is the drawing of the day.

The Ass

The drawing of the day for 2/27/11 is an album cover I made back in 1995 for the premier album of my old band called The Ass.

The guy is Brandon Lee as The Crow. We sang a song about him. We also sang a song about Robocop, which explains the Robo-donkey-cop. I was trying to do this in the Drew Struzan movie poster style. This is a poor photo of it, I think I have a decent scan that I could find/didn’t bother looking for. By the way, we weren’t a “real” band, and recently, I was made aware that there is a “real” band calling itself The Ass. They are probably much better than we were.

I made this illustration for an article I wrote describing a dream I had last night about a new Rocky movie that was being made. Rocky fights a Leprechaun. Read the whole article.

Year of the Rabbit

Drawing of the day for 2/22/11 is my latest t-shirt design. I decided that, since I was born in the Year of the Rabbit, I would make a t-shirt that had a rabbit on it. Look for this design to be available soon. There will also be a big Donkeyshines announcement soon, so stay tuned.
